Raymond Charles Brown, age 68, of Wyoming, Minnesota, died May 10, 2021.

Ray had a good life, which ended peacefully while surrounded by family and friends. His painful battle with head and neck cancer ended at Fairview Medical Center in Wyoming  on May 10, 2021.

Ray was born in St. Paul, MN on March 2, 1953 to Gale and Marge (Tuckner) Brown. He attended and graduated from Mounds View high school, and then he enlisted and served honorably in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. He was later married twice and had four children.

Ray enjoyed a life filled with family and friends. He was proud of his family and wherever he lived, always filled his home with their photos. Ray appreciated spending time with his entire family, and enjoyed a lifelong friendship with his ex-wife Debbie, to whom he was married for 17 years.

In the summer, Ray loved going up to the cabin and you’d rarely see him without a golden tan (or dark sunburn)! He liked playing guitar, listening to music, traveling, and fishing. He had fun going on adventures with his many friends.

He worked as a laborer for several companies throughout his life. His favorite employer, however, was his former father in-law, Al Zeis. Ray had many great memories of his time spent on the job sites with Al and the guys.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Gale and Marge, and brother Tommy.

He is survived by son Sean Weber, daughter Alicia LaCasse and her husband Brett, son David and his wife Courtney, son Matt and his fiancé Jackie Janssen, sister Kathy Maxwell and her husband Larry, former wife & friend Debbie and her partner Bruce, former mother in-law Wanda Zeis, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a multitude of dear friends.

Celebration of life will be held at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 N Shore Dr, Forest Lake, MN 55025 on Friday, June 4th. Visitation will be from 3 – 5 p.m., with a short service beginning at 5 p.m., followed by military honors. Private burial will be held at Ft. Snelling in St. Paul on Tuesday, June 15th at 9 a.m.

Memorials can be sent in care of Alicia LaCasse, 668 3rd St. NW, Forest Lake, MN 55025. Flowers may be sent to Mattson Funeral Home.
