Jonathan M. Hutchinson, of Columbus, Minnesota, died of a heart attack after shoveling snow December 23, 2020.  Jon grew up in Medford, WI where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Debbie, and although they divorced, their friendship stayed strong and she will always be family.  Jon was a proud Navy veteran.  He loved to travel, sail, and even took his 25’ Hunter sailboat down the Mississippi to the gulf, continuing on to cruise solo in the Bahamas.

He was a programming savant  and met Audrey through work, then left to go sailing again but sent the best pickup line ever via a Grand Cayman postcard; “Any plans?  If you need a vacation…..I’ll be in Belize in a couple of weeks.”  The three week trip became a happy lifetime filled with two children that he was so very proud of, loving every moment he spent with them.  He loved family group camping trips with his nieces, going to the movies, watching NASCAR and napping!  He was kind hearted, supportive and will be loved and missed always.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Angela;  brother, David; brother-in-law, Paul Jacobsen. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Audrey; children, Daniel and Sara; sisters, Camille (Stephen) Bovee, Rebecca Jacobsen; nieces, Tiffany, Deidre, Breanna, Natalie and nephew, Mark.
