Obituary

JoAnne Perry, age 90, of Forest Lake, Minnesota died peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 2, 2022.  JoAnne was born January 17, 1932, in Barron, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harold and Minnie Odelia (nee Johnson) Starkey.  She was united in marriage to Richard Perry on October 11, 1952.  JoAnne was an amazing mother and grandmother who selflessly gave of herself to her family and friends.  She would always make time for each person in her life; making them feel special and as if they were her number one.  She enjoyed traveling and visiting different locations, but her life and heart was filled with the love from her family.

She is preceded in death by parents; husband, Richard; brother, Jerry Starkey.  She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her including her children, Shannon (Randy) Nelson, Jim (Vickie) Perry, Joe Perry; grandchildren, Nicole (Aric) Maurer, Ryan (Jaimie) Nelson, Danielle (Jed Cochrane) Nelson, Nichelle (Christian) Ehrnriter, Regan Nelson, Rylen (Abby Johnson) Nelson, Autumn Callihan, Libby (Jon) Allen, Tori (Jordan) Cox, Mark (Brooke) Holden, Tisha (Cody) Jantz, Joey (Jenny) Perry; great grandchildren, Auden, Rayen, Riley, Saela, Sadie, Sari, Matteo, Ethan, Sophia, Bayani, Zoelynn, Bria, Emmitt, Aiden, Konnar, Harper.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
