We are deeply saddened to announce, Jason D. Brown, age 51, of Chisago City, Minnesota, passed away on November 6, 2020, after a courageous, 9 month, battle with cancer. His loving wife, Robin Brown, was at his side when he took his last breath to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jason remained positive and lived life fully, right up to the end despite the side effects of treatment and pain.
Jason was born in Rochester, Minnesota, and was loved by many people including his wife Robin; step sons, Sean and Matthew; son, Arlo; and daughter, Eila. He also leaves behind his mother, Jeanne; step father, Terry; step mother, Robin; brothers, Jeff and Will; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
Jason was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of the importance of living a life for the Lord, helping others, and spending quality time with those he loved. He had a way of putting people at ease and developed many life long friends as a result. You seriously could not go anywhere with him without running into someone he knew, and of course he always took the time to stop and chat.
Jason loved the ocean, fishing, traveling, shopping, and being a daddy. Most pictures of Jason, from recent years, are him with a child sleeping on his chest or in his arms.
Jason took great pride in growing and running his concessions business, he was always brainstorming new ideas and different food items for his stands. He also ran a construction business prior to the concession business, and snow plowed in the winter. When it snowed, he would be gone all night plowing because he not only plowed his own accounts, he plowed for people in need. He was very generous in nature and always looked for ways to help others.
Jason will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM, on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Funeral Service will be at 10 AM, on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Lakes Free Church, 29620 Olinda Trail, Lindstrom.
