Passed away Feb. 3, 2021

Beloved husband of Joanne, loving father of Jeffrey (Linda) Olson, Jennifer (Chris) Garnsworthy. Grampy of Nicholas and Madelyn Garnsworthy, and Alexandra Olson. Brother of Keith (Jane) Olson, brother-in-law of Barbara Olson, uncle of David Olson, niece Dana (Kevin) Reese, and great uncle of Hudson Reese. Preceded in death by parents Roy and Evelyn Olson.

Greg attended Harding High School, Bethel College, Northwestern Electronics Institute, U of M (Electrical Engineering) and University of St. Thomas (Masters in Business Administration). He worked his entire career at Medtronic. Greg was a member of American Society for Quality and held several leadership positions in that group.

Greg was a man of many talents and interests. He designed and built the family home, participated actively in his children’s high school ski team activities, and led the family on many wonderful trips throughout the U.S. and Canada, in the family camper. Outdoor activities were a large part of Greg’s spare time. All through his life, he enjoyed the lake, and spending time at the cabin brought him great joy. Hunting season brought dear friends together. Golfing, hiking, canoeing, and downhill, cross-country and water skiing made many memories with close friends and family.

Greg inherited his mother’s talent for cooking – he could prepare any meal to look to have come from the finest restaurant.  He was a natural when it came to repairing things. His ability to create lovely artistic endeavors came from his father. The gift of gab and storytelling made him a fun person to be around – we will miss his stories.

Greg, we miss and love you, but are thankful you are home with the Lord.

A celebration of Greg’s life will be planned for a future date, when it is again safe to gather. Memorials are preferred to the family for distribution to charities.
