Giovanni Polleri

Our handsome and talented Giovanni “Gino” “Gio” Angelo Polleri, age 18, of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, passed away on October 5, 2019.  He is preceded in death by his sister, Bianca; grandmother, Barbara Polleri; and bonus grandfather, Del Schmidt.  Gino is survived by his bonus father, Roger Schmidt and mother, Dr. Rolanda Schmidt; siblings, Kye, Ashley, Quentin, Ellen, Emily, Jayla; his beloved Morkie, Roman; and a large extended family of a niece, nephew, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends including, Tino, Alec, Noah, Kevin.  Gino loved macaroni and chicken.  If he wasn’t playing Fortnite, he was building 2000 pieces of LEGOS in one hour.  He was in his last year of high school and aspired to create an e-sport company with his brother when he graduated.  He was filled with humor, practical jokes and could watch vines for hours.  He also loved to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children.  Not many people realized he was high functioning autistic; yet he was amazingly brilliant, played the guitar, had a beautiful singing voice, and played soccer for seven years.  His entrepreneur spirit was evident.  Giovanni will be sorely missed and forever loved.  His legacy will live on for eternity as he selflessly gave the gift of life through Lifesource organ donation.  He saved so many lives, ranging from ages 20-60.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Eaglebrook-Blaine Campus, 3603 95th Ave NE, Circle Pines.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  In true Gio style, please feel free to wear your favorite hoodie to the funeral in memory of him.
