Florence Anderson

Florence Amelia Anderson of St. Paul, MN, Farmington, New Mexico and Forest Lake, MN joined our Father in Heaven and those who have gone before in the early morning of January 23, 2021.  She was 92 years old.  In addition to raising her seven children, she managed the Hitching Post Motel and worked at From the Heart Bible Book Store in Forest Lake and President of Women's Aglow.  She also worked the hospital switchboard in Farmington (public switchboard earlier in life).  She enjoyed camping, hospitality, cooking, watching movies with friends, and outings with relatives and her birthday club. Wherever she lived, she would make friends and people would say, “I just love your mother!”  She was a member of Cross Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN.  She is survived by David (Elaine) and their children Jim (Sheila) parents to Thomas (Alyssa) son Michael and Jasmine (Noah) daughter Iris, Shawn (Katja) parents to Brianna (Matt) Hoofnagle, Josiah, Micah, Lianna, Mariah and Sophia, Sarah (Ken) Egan and children Ashley, Nick, and Kyla Johnson, and Jeremy (former spouse Susan) have a daughter Mirabelle.  Cheryle (David) Nix parents to Renee (Curtis) Hadley and daughters Whitney and Emily.  Paul A.  Gayle (Rick) Carroll and children Josh (Melodie) and sons Ethan, Ryun, and Aiden, and Janelle (Nathan) La Croix parents to Kaitlyn, Peyton, Brody, and Maelyn. Mark (Inez) second parents to Polly (RJ) Strand and baby Liv.  Susan (Alex) Sze.  Karen (Saul) Selby parents to Christine and Daniel. She will also be missed by sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Curtis Anderson, brothers Paul, Howard, and George, and sister Anna, parents Olga (Hill/Vollrath) and Howard Hill, her parents-in-law Olga and David Anderson and grandson Mark Nix.  A service will be planned for mid to late Summer 2021.
