Rest in peace to our beloved brother, Dennis Thomas Paul.  Born on May 5, 1954 in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Raised on an 80 acre farm in Centerville, Minnesota.  He was one of 10 children born to Donald and Jeanne Paul.  Dennis followed in his dad’s footsteps of loving the great outdoors with hunting, fishing, trapping and enjoying nature.  He loved guns and took gun safety class as a kid and made a gun rack in wood shop in school.  He was very athletic and loved participating in sports, especially baseball and had a mean, accurate, left-handed throw.  His very first job was working for his dad at a young age, in the family owned business of sod, landscaping and black dirt.  The hired foreman said Dennis was the best landscape prepper he ever saw.  Dennis loved old cars, pickups, motorcycles and anything that was “heavy-duty”.  He was a good mechanic and welder.  Deer hunting in Bigfork, Minnesota with his dad, was a passion he cherished and continued doing all through his life even long after his dad’s passing in 1976.  He was an excellent pool player and was on numerous pool leagues and in tournaments.  He would go uptown to the local bar with his dad and play the various pin ball machines and won several prizes for highest scores to take home to his mom.  He enjoyed his dogs, driving truck and his job at Wille Transport stating that you couldn’t work for a better boss and couldn’t have better co-workers.  Dennis was quiet, laid back and down to earth.  He was friendly, likeable, outgoing and had lots of friends.  He was very eager to help out if you were in need.  Also, even at a young age, the ladies were always attracted to Dennis as if he was a rock star.  He loved northern Minnesota where he eventually bought seven acres of land and built a rustic cabin complete with an outhouse, and settled down in Deer River, MN.  Dennis lost his brave battle with cancer on January 12, 2021.  He fought all the way.  Until we meet again Dennis.  Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Donald N. Paul; his mother, Jeanne L. Paul; his older brother, Donald M. Paul.  He is survived by his son, Thomas B. Paul; his beloved dog, Sierra; his sisters, Kathleen M. Schwankl, Cheryl A. Paul, Genevieve J. Forsblade (Roy), Nancy C. Paul, Deborah T. Beach, Laura J. Williams; brothers, Steven A. Paul, James J. Paul; numerous nieces and nephews.
