Bryan J. Lee, age 57, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, died on Thursday, December 5, 2019.  Bryan was born November 26, 1962 in Amery, Wisconsin, the son of Arlyn and Loretta (Bibeau) Lee.  He graduated from White Bear Lake Mariner High School, Class of 1981.  Following high school, Bryan enlisted in the Air National Guard, where he made his career in fuel system maintenance as a shop chief, retiring after 29 years as a Master Sergeant.  In 1991, he met Wendy McGowan, they had their first date on February 15, 1992.  Bryan and Wendy spent the next 28 years together.  Their wedding was planned for February 15, 2020.  In his free time, he enjoyed ice fishing and open water fishing, swimming, golfing, cribbage, shooting guns, and cooking.  His commitment to Forest Lake was long standing.  Bryan could be found organizing and executing the 4th of July fireworks every year.  He was active in the VFW honor guard and most recently was the gambling manager.  Bryan was a charming, charismatic, patient man.  He will be remembered as an incredible instructor, lover, father and friend.  He was preceded in death by his father, Arlyn; brother-in-law, William Walters.  He will be deeply missed by his fiancé, Wendy; children, Ken (Mitzi) Lee (Ken’s mother, Heather), Amanda (Rock) Cross, Jacob Lee, Mikayla (Cody) Miller; grandchildren, Christopher Lee, Kaia Lee, Kendra Nowell, Wyatt Nowell, Edison Cross, Orion Cross, Landon Cross, David Miller; mother, Loretta Lee; siblings, Valerie Walters, Jeffrey Lee; father and mother in law, Dean and Shari Johnson; future in laws, Kim Johnson, Tony Johnson, Tim (Saree) Johnson;  nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; extended family and dear friends of 133rd Air National Guard.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at American Legion Post 225, 355 West Broadway Avenue, Forest Lake, Minnesota.  Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to the service at the American Legion on Wednesday.  Interment with full military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Immediately following the interment, everyone is invited to join the family at the American Legion for food and a continued celebration of life.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
