"It was a blast. Thank you to all of you in my ‘Here’ time."
William “Bill” Abler completed his earthly journey and returned home on June 19, 2026, after 81 years of living life on his own terms. Bill had a gift for connecting with people and never met a stranger for long. Whether sharing a story, offering a laugh, or simply enjoying the company of family and friends, he believed life was meant to be lived fully and enjoyed every step of the way.
Bill's life was rich with experiences, relationships, and memories that he carried with gratitude. He valued family above all else and took great pride in watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandson grow and build lives of their own. His sense of humor, resilient spirit, and appreciation for the simple joys of life left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
A proud veteran, Bill faithfully served his country and carried that sense of dedication and commitment throughout his life. He approached challenges with determination and celebrated successes with humility and gratitude.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Olive (Turner) Abler; his wives, Theresa Abler and Eileen Peterson; and his son, William Anthony Abler.
He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Brian (JoEllen) Abler and Tim (Stephanie) Abler; grandchildren, Kayla (John Schuneman) Abler, Rebecca Geghart, Nathan (Samantha) Abler, Tyler Darwin, Sadie (Chris Marquis) Abler, Sam (Jacob) Roubal, Theresa (Harry Lecher) Abler, Eva Abler, and Catherine Abler; great-grandson, Rhett Schuneman; siblings, Wesley (Jane) Abler, Claudia (Dan) Davenport, and Alex (Nancy) Abler; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were brighter because Bill was part of them.
As Bill checked out of the Hotel of Life, he left behind a simple message that perfectly captures the way he lived:
"It was a blast. Thank you to all of you in my ‘Here’ time."
