Wendell Gilbert West, age 89, of Wyoming,
died Friday, April 14, 2006.
He was born May 25, 1916 to Roy & Verna West in Fulda, MN.
Preceded in death by infant sons, Jackie Allen & Glen Allen; siblings, Marion, Glen and Irma.
Wendell is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley; children, Marie (Donavan) Hanson, Jim (Dorothy); Dave (Cathy), Sue (Jim) Fraley, and Doug; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Wilma West and Carol Tuenge; many other relatives and friends; and special sidekick, Annie.
Wendell had been a turkey farmer for 38 years, and later Deputy County Assessor for Chisago County. He was a three time St. Paul Golden Gloves Champion.
Celebration of life, 11am, Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at WYOMING UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 5459 Viking Boulevard, Wyoming, MN. Visitation 4-8pm, Monday, April 17, 2006 at MATTSON FUNERAL HOME, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN and Tuesday one hour prior to service at the church.
