Todd Dana Wendt, age 66, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

Todd was born on April 17, 1960, at the Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up in Brooklyn Park and graduated from Osseo High School. Throughout his life, Todd pursued many interests, including attending culinary school and working in a variety of jobs. However, the role that brought him the greatest fulfillment was serving as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA). He had a genuine gift for caring for others and found purpose in helping those in need. His kindness, patience, and willingness to lend a helping hand touched countless lives and made a lasting difference to the families he served.

Todd was also a dedicated volunteer with the Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethons for more than 20 years. He brought laughter, encouragement, and joy to the families, children, and staff he met along the way. His warm personality and sense of humor made him someone people never forgot.

Family meant everything to Todd. Some of his happiest moments were spent at the lake with loved ones, where he proudly took on his favorite role as "captain of the boat." Those memories will be treasured by all who shared them with him.

Todd was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol, affectionately known as “Sweetie”; his parents, Rose and Gerald Wendt; and many cherished family members and friends. Though he deeply missed those he loved, he carried their memories in his heart and is now reunited with them in eternal peace.

He is survived by his siblings, Kathleen (Brian) Strand of Sarasota, Florida; Andrea Wendt of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota; Anthony Wendt of Zimmerman, Minnesota; and Vincent (Sheryl) Wendt of Zimmerman, Minnesota. He is also survived by his nieces, Angela (Jeffrey) Colbeth of Orrock Township, Minnesota, and Jenn (Leon) Coleman of Palm Bay, Florida; his great-nieces, Addison and Alyssa Colbeth; and many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held November 14, 2026, at Grace Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be served afterward. Interment will take place at 3p at Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

Todd will be remembered for his loving heart, generous spirit, and unwavering care for others. His memory will live on in the lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
