Thomas “Tom” Bernard Casavan, age 69, of Forest Lake, MN, passed away on 4-20, 2026.  He was blessed to spend his final days surrounded by his family and friends.

Tom was born on April 19, 1957, to Bernard “Tom” and Carolynn (Thompson) Casavan in Thief River Falls, MN. The family later moved to Wessington, SD, where Tom attended school and graduated in 1976.

Tom met and married Barb, and they were blessed with their daughter, Elise. He later met Donna and her son, Steven and together they welcomed his son, Thomas. He later met and married Vickie and her daughters, Roxanne, Rhonda, Rachael, Robin, and Randie, and together they were blessed with their son, Ryan. He later met Shellie and her sons, Josh and Daniel.

Tom was a man who loved being outdoors. You could always find him mowing, working in his garden, or sitting around a fire pit. After he lost his ability to do yard work, he found doing diamond art and was very proud of them.

He loved all his family, but his true love was his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Elise (Frank Allbee) Casavan of Ipswich, SD; his sons, Thomas (Rebecca) Casavan of New Richmond, WI, and Ryan (Jenna J.) He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, David and Jerome “Jerry.”

A Celebration of Life will be held 12-5pm on May 16th, 2026. A prayer service will begin at 2pm. Service location will be announced. Tom will be laid to rest with his parents, brother, and many other family members at a later date.
