Shawn S. Birdsall, age 36, of Wyoming, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 17, 2025.
Shawn was a spirited and fun-loving soul who brought laughter and mischief wherever he went. A proud gun enthusiast and passionate deer hunter, he also had an undying love for sports. He grew up playing baseball and football in school and remained a devoted fan of all things athletic.
Shawn was a true foodie, known especially for his unique talent of “liberating” other people’s leftovers. He had a gift for humor and pranks, often pushing the limits of practical jokes. His favorite April Fools’ Day tradition was calling his mom to tell her—falsely—that he needed a ride from jail. He loved to make people laugh, even if it meant being a little over the top.
Above all, Shawn had a huge heart. He absolutely adored his two beloved dogs, Harley and Capone—his babies—and they meant the world to him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Scott Birdsall; grandmother, Dorothy Connor; grandfather, Harley Carlson; and best friend, Josh Diebel.
He is survived by his babies, Harley and Capone; parents, Jackie (Jeff) Carlson; sisters, Alyssa (Craig) Rohde, Courtney (Clayton) Hall; brother, Cody (Quincee) Birdsall; niece, Emma Rohde; nephews, Felix Hall and Huxley Birdsall; grandparents, David Connor, Julie and Larry MacDonald, Shari Carlson; godmother, Shelly Tokheim; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Shawn will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his wild sense of humor, big heart, and unwavering love for his family, friends, and four-legged companions.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, August 10th, 2025, at Maranatha Church, 24799 Forest Blvd N, Forest Lake. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
