Sari Kimm (Johnson) Alsaker

Beloved Wife, Mother, Nana

Went to heaven on June 9, 2026, at the age of 67, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born on March 12, 1959, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to proud parents Kenneth and Cora Johnson. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Laurice (Roger) Sterba, Karen (Buzz) Barry, Kevin (Linda) Johnson, and Sheila (Donald) Waldoch. Sari grew up in Forest Lake and graduated from Forest Lake High School with the Class of 1977. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota in 1985. On July 12, 1985, she married the love of her life, Paul. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with three children.

Raising their family was one of Sari's greatest joys. Their lives were filled with countless happy memories celebrating holidays, camping, fishing, spending days at the lake, gardening, gathering around bonfires, taking mini vacations, and simply enjoying time with family and friends. Family was always Sari's pride and joy. She and Paul also treasured the opportunities they had to slip away together on a few vacations, creating special memories as a couple.

Her family continued to grow with the arrival of her grandchildren, who filled her heart with immeasurable love and gratitude. She joyfully welcomed her first grandson in 2007, a second grandson in 2009, her first granddaughter in 2013, a third grandson in 2016, and a second granddaughter in 2018. Sari delighted in sharing her love of nature with each of them and created lasting memories through camping adventures and trips to Texas and Mexico, just to name a few. She cherished every moment spent with them and found endless happiness in watching them grow.

Sari's words of wisdom, unwavering strength, deep faith, joyful spirit, and compassion for others are gifts that her family and friends will carry with them always. She lived with a grateful heart and often reminded those she loved, "Be grateful for something or someone every day."

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Laurice; granddaughters, Elliana and Isabella; father-in-law, Norman; and brothers-in-law, David, Michael, and John.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul; children, Amber (Michael) Anderson, Ashli (Anthony) Weller, and Adam (Sam) Alsaker; stepdaughter, Colleen Alsaker; grandchildren, Landon, Preston, Johanna, Emmett, and Lilliana; siblings, Karen, Kevin, and Sheila; mother-in-law, Almeda; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sue, Deann, Daniel, Terry, Amy, Susan, and Johnny; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
