Sandy Neumann

Sandy Neumann, age 55, of Chisago City, Minnesota formerly of Cottage Grove and Rochester, Minnesota, passed away, Saturday, April 7, 2018 after a long battle with an auto-immune disorder.

She is preceded in death by her dad, Juel Kvittem.  She is survived by her husband, Joe; children, Erin Neumann, Ashley (Dan) Schindeldecker; grandchildren, Makayla and Christian Schindeldecker; mother, Josie Kvittem; siblings, Allen (Deb), Glenn (Debbie), Earl (Deb), Diane (Bill) Wassink, Mark (Diane); numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

She was born on January 24th, 1963, in Rochester, MN, to Juel and Josephine (Helmin) Kvittem. She graduated from Mayo High School in 1981. Sandy was a long-time employee of SuperValu. She married Joe Neumann on March 23rd,1985 in Rochester, MN. Sandy was Joe’s Life, Love, Spirit, and Friend. On March 5th, 1983 and July 17th, 1986 Sandy was blessed with two beautiful girls Erin and Ashley.

Sandy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with family, spoiling grandkids, travelling with her husband, and the sunshine. She had a heart of gold. Sandy could always put a smile on your face. Family and friends were Sandy’s passion and she always looked out for everyone.

Everyone that has ever met Sandy has a great memory to share. She was there to make us laugh, hold our hands, and listen. She will be deeply missed, but through our memories she is with us.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2018 at Lord of the Lakes Lutheran Church, 25402 Itasca Ave North, Forest Lake.  Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to the service at the church.
