Rose Marie Boyer, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2026, at her family home in Forest Lake, Minnesota, surrounded by her loved ones. Rose Marie was born on March 2, 1933, in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held at Mattson Funeral Home, Forest Lake, on June 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to mass at the church on Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake, Minnesota.

Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Margaret Christman; her beloved husband, Robert Sr. (Bob) Boyer; and her son, Robert Jr. (Butch) Boyer.

Rose Marie devoted her life to raising her children with compassion, discipline, and enduring values. Her legacy lives on through her 13 surviving children, daughters Lela (Wayne) Kruse of Ringsted, Iowa; Patti (John Carney) Ray of Scandia, Minnesota; Mary (Steve Tanaka) Boyer of Gardena, California; Missy (Jeff) Wavrin of Forest Lake, Minnesota; Michelle (Jon) Syring of Sheridan, Wyoming; Margaret (Dan) Burns of Eagan, Minnesota; Stephanie (Ted) Nafzger of Prior Lake, Minnesota; and sons, Tim (Karen) Boyer of Lake Forest, California; Ron Boyer of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania; David (Leisa) Boyer of Elkton, Maryland; Mike (Shirley) Boyer of Taylors Falls, Minnesota; Jim (Lisa) Boyer of Ringsted, Iowa; and John (Karen) Boyer of Scandia, Minnesota.

She is also lovingly survived by 28 grandchildren and their spouses, and 33 great-grandchildren, all of whom are proud to call her Nana, as they brought immense joy to her life

Rose Marie was raised in Tomah, Wisconsin, and after marrying the love of her life, Bob, she began their family in Wadena, Minnesota. In 1971, Bob and Rose Marie moved to Forest Lake, where they established the family home that would remain the heart of countless gatherings for family and friends over the next five decades. Rose Marie created a home filled with warmth, faith, laughter, conversation, and the comforting aroma of meals prepared with love. Through both joyful and difficult times, she remained the steady and loving center of her family.

Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a long and beautiful life, well-lived. Her love, strength, and unwavering devotion will remain with us always.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed toward a memorial bench on the Children’s Story Path in Lilleskogen Park in Scandia, or to a charity of your choice in Rose Marie’s name.
