Roger L. Oberg

Roger L. Oberg, age 76, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

Roger was born on October 16, 1950, in Long Beach, California, to James and Bette (Becker) Oberg. Throughout his career, Roger was an engineer and partner with BKBM Engineers, where he shared his knowledge, experience, and professional talents.

Outside of work, Roger found joy in the simple pleasures of life and the time spent with those who meant the most to him. He loved fishing and hunting, but perhaps some of his favorite memories were made spending time with family and friends on Clear Lake. Whether enjoying time on the water, sharing stories, or simply being together, these moments created lasting memories that will be treasured by those who shared them with him.

Roger will be remembered by his family and friends for the memories they made together and the special place he held in their lives. His presence will be missed, but the memories of time spent together will remain close to their hearts.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Bette Oberg.

Roger will be deeply missed by his sister, Vicki (Lauress Wise) Oberg; cousin, Sonja (John) Nikosch Jr.; and many other family members and friends.

A private celebration of Roger’s life will be held.
