Roger Hanson

Roger Lee Hanson from Shafer, MN, died on August 5th, 2025, at the age of 67 at Fairview Wyoming Hospital. Roger was born on November 23rd, 1957, in St. Paul, MN to Henry and Jennie Hanson. He was the 2nd born of four children.

Roger went on many fishing trips to Canada with his dad and younger brother Dale over the years. This led to his love and skill for fishing! He even had his own secret fishing spot that he wouldn't divulge to anyone.

Roger worked in the construction field, specializing in roofing, and was meticulous with his handy work. He was a man of many talents and was more than happy to help anyone who needed an extra hand, whether it was fixing a broken lawn mower or someone that needed help with a home repair.

Roger is survived by his sisters, Lynn Hoff and Gail Hanson; brother, Dale Hanson; son, Cory (Sarah) Hanson; daughter Cassie (Ryan) Keppel; grandchildren, Ashton Hanson, Hayley Hanson, Kyla Keppel, and Hannah Keppel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Jennie Hanson.

In accordance with Roger's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. A private service will be held at a later date.
