Robin "Rob" Weeda

Robin "Rob" Weeda, age 66, of Stacy, Minnesota died peacefully December 17, 2021.
Rob was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and son.
Rob was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and walking in the woods, fishing, golfing, and riding his snowmobile and motorcycle. As a little child, Rob walked the trails and river banks near Fairbanks, Alaska hunting and fishing with his father. His early childhood, in Chicago, were happy memories while with his grandfather, Francis, and his aunt, Jojo. During his early teens in Duluth, he loved coming home from school to hunt and fish in his own backyard and snowmobile on his own trails. Rob took up falconry while living in Duluth. Back to Chicago, in the early 70's, Rob would bring his hawk to show around school and Forest Glen. Rob continued falconry in later years after returning to Minnesota. Love of the outdoors carried Rob into his 30 year career as a groundskeeper for the Forest Lake School District working on and maintaining all of the athletic fields and outdoor Hockey-rinks. He often volunteered to help with outdoor fundraisers. When eating at Village Inn, Rob was often approached by people who knew him from his volunteer work at school and in the community. Mom and Rob's brother, Kurt, were always impressed with how many people knew and greet Rob. Rob welcomed many of his son's friends into his home. Duffy, Brady, Chad and Mike, will remember days spent at Rob's house while he made breakfast for the whole bunch.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Francis; father, Martin; and aunt, JoJo. Rob is survived by his children, Frank (Annie), Ashley; grandchildren, Theodore and Nelson; brother, Kurt; and mother, Dolores. Rob is also survived by many cousins.
A Celebration of Rob’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM,  on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN.  The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials are preferred to American Heart or American Lung Association.
