Robert Pechmann, age 81, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Robert was a man of deep faith, unwavering strength, and boundless generosity. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he later built a successful career as a Computer Engineer at Control Data. Though life presented him with challenges—including a 28-year journey with an inoperable brain tumor—he faced them with resilience and faith. In what many consider a miracle, the tumor disappeared in recent years, allowing him to continue living a life of service and gratitude.
After retirement, Robert found his true calling in volunteer work, dedicating his time and heart to organizations such as the Boy Scouts, The Church of Saint Peter, Listening House, and Relay for Life. He was a source of inspiration and hope to many, always ready with a kind word, a helping hand, and a steadfast belief in the power of prayer. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he was known as a true prayer warrior, always seeking and recognizing the ways God was working in the world around him.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Pechmann. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rita Pechmann; his children, Paul Pechmann and Sara (Tony) Diventuri; his beloved grandson, Tyler Pittman; his cherished granddog, Chewy; his brother, Gary (Jeannie) Pechmann; his sister, Susan (Chris) Bustrak; as well as extended family and many dear friends.
