Richard Peter Carter Jr.

Richard was born July 3, 1958 to Joyce and Richard P Carter Sr.  He grew up in Forest Lake.  He liked water skiing and fishing in the summer and snowmobiling and playing hockey during the winter.  He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.

Richard served in the Navy from August 1976 until August 1980.

Richard is survived by his son, Christopher (Keilani) Strom; granddaughter, Aubrey; siblings, Stephanie (Don); Scott (Lisa), Jim (Jo); niece Amy (Jeremy); nephew, Bryan; great nephew, Braden; great nieces, Isabelle, Emma, and Alexa.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-5 pm, on June 15. 2024, at the Forest Lake American Legion.

Burial will take place at 1pm, on July 8, 2024, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
