Phyllis Wicken

Phyllis I. Wicken, age 88, of Forest Lake, formerly of Minneapolis and Golden Valley, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2022.

Phyllis was the sweetest and most gentle woman.  She loved the outdoors being in the fresh air, taking in the sunshine and watching the birds.  She loved living in Minnesota and enjoyed watching the seasons change.  Phyllis loved her family and was a wonderful Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma.

She is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Grace Gable; husband, Gerald; sons, Jerry, Steve; siblings, Frank Gable, Donald Gable and special friend Nick Harms.

She is survived by children, Richard (Julie), Cher (Mike Boyd) Kerling; siblings, Robert Gable, Chuck (Audrey) Gable, Margaret (Arden) Doering; grandchildren, Kristine, Scott Kerling, Richard, Jason, Dustin Kerling, Amy Helling; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
