Phyllis L. Steen

Phyllis L. Steen, age 97, of Hugo, formerly of Roseville, passed away peacefully at Keystone Place in Hugo on January 9, 2023.  She is retired from the Minnesota Department of Education. 

She is preceded in death by husbands, L. Thordson, J. Bova, E. “Rebel” Steen; parents, Gustav and Ruth; and brother, John Molin.  She is survived by son, Thomas (Donna) Thordson, daughter, Linda Maroney; grandchildren, Kari (Paul) Montalbano, Thomas (Joleen) Thordson, Curtis Maroney; great grandchildren, Devan, Anthony, Erin, Ali; nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial at Ft. Snelling.
