Patricia J. Groebner

Patricia J. Groebner, age 71, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born on August 14, 1954, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Arvid and Mary Patricia (Greer) Langenbacher. She grew up in a warm and lively home and graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School with the Class of 1972. After high school, she continued her education at Mankato State University, where she nurtured her natural creativity and artistic eye.

While working in security at Dayton’s Department Store, Patricia met the love of her life, James Groebner. A single date quickly grew into a lifelong partnership, and the two were united in marriage on June 22, 1974, at Corpus Christi Church. They settled in Forest Lake, where they lovingly raised their two children and built a life filled with laughter, creativity, and devotion.

Patricia was a gifted artist whose talents seemed endless. She painted, sewed clothing, upholstered furniture, and found joy in bringing beauty into the world through her hands. Her dream job came to life at Taymark in White Bear Lake, where she designed prom displays—work that allowed her imagination and skills to shine. She approached every project, big or small, with enthusiasm, care, and a deep love for her craft.

Beyond her artistic gifts, Patricia was a kind and generous soul. She would do anything for anyone, offering help without hesitation and warmth without judgment. She loved the outdoors and found happiness skiing on both water and snow. Her spirit was vibrant, compassionate, and endlessly giving.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, James; her children, Cheryl (Jeppe) Bundgaard and Dennis Groebner; her sister, Monica Swisher; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A service to honor Patricia’s life will be announced at a later date.

Patricia’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and love will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
