Marlene "Marley" Marie Lenihan

Marlene “Marley” Marie (Esboldt) Lenihan, age 90, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on July 12, 2024. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Esboldt; brother, Don Esboldt; sister-in-law, Helen Esboldt; nephew, Tim Esboldt; and many other family members and friends.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Mike), Pat (Jim), Mary (Don), John, Mark (Lisa); 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Marcie); sister, Rose (Gary), many nieces, nephews and friends.

Marlene was a wonderful mother who always put her family first. She was a devout Catholic. Her strength and faith in God helped her to overcome many challenges and her sweet, witty nature endeared her to many.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake, Minnesota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass at the church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake, Minnesota.

The family would like to thank Prelude Memory Care and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care of both Marlene and her family during her last few years. In lieu of flowers , donation can be made to The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to end Alzheimer’s – Twin Cities, MN, team Marley’s Mob.
