On Saturday, February 4, 2023, Marian “Micky” Arlene Kelly, 88 years old, passed away surrounded by family. Born December 10, 1934, to Edyth and Bert Yoeman, the family lived in Northwood, Iowa until she was 6 years old. They moved to Albert Lea, Minnesota where she attended school, and graduated from Albert Lea Senior High. During her summers as a youth, she would stay with her sister Ruth, who was 14 years older than her, and help with her children. During these summers she met a boy…John Kelly. They were married Feb 13, 1954, and moved to the Twin Cities and began their family. They then moved to Arden Hills and continued their family, of 7 children. When she was ready to work outside the home, she began working at Hobo’s Burger Place and met many good friends. She then had a career as a Print Room Specialist, until retirement. Upon retirement, they traveled by motor home briefly and then settled in Florida, where she remained for 30 years. She loved the sun, the warmth, her friends, and her church. She was an artist in many areas; painting, charcoal, doll making, quilting, and sewing, and crochet and knitting. She and dad volunteered in Florida’s Prison Literacy program and worked with Habitat for Humanity. She also served as an election judge.
Micky is survived by her children, Tim Kelly (Jill), Kim Kelly (George), Kathy Collins (John), Tom Kelly (Gretchen), Kandy Klein (Rich), Kari Jetton (Bill) and Kristin Osgood (Greg), 19 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren, as well as extended family and some very special friends in Florida.
She joined in Heaven her husband, John; sister, Ruth Legenhausen, and her grandson, Austin Klein.
