Linda "Lynn" Walton

Feb 1, 1952 — Sep 24, 2026

Chisago City

Lynn passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, friendship, and determination.

Strong-willed, hardworking, and always willing to take on a challenge, Lynn lived life on her own terms. Her work took her down many paths, from paving streets to breaking and showing horses, and from law enforcement to working with middle school students as an in-school restriction officer. She brought strength and dedication to each chapter of her life.

Her work with students held a special place in her heart. She loved those middle school kids, and they loved her in return. She saw the person behind the behavior and cared deeply about helping them find their way.

Lynn faced cancer with that same determination. Together with her loving partner, she weathered the ups and downs of treatment and reached remission—a hard-fought milestone they shared.

To her wife, Lynn was the love of a lifetime. She could be stubborn and sometimes exasperating, but she also brought laughter, companionship, and unconditional love. They weathered difficult times together, always holding on to the many good moments that made their life together meaningful.

For Lynn, friends were family. The people she welcomed into her life became part of her heart, and those bonds remain an enduring part of her legacy.

Lynn will be remembered for her strength, her humor, her generous heart, and the love she gave so freely. In the words that so fittingly capture her spirit: “I did it my way.”

No services are scheduled at this time.

In keeping with Lynns love and compassion for animals, she requested that memorials be made to Northwoods Humane Society in Wyoming, Minnesota.
