Lawrence Gilbert Schroepfer

Lawrence “Larry” Schroepfer, age 79, of Pine River, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025.

Larry was born on May 1, 1946, to Lawrence Sr. and Mary Schroepfer in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He was a kind and compassionate man whose family was always his number one priority. Larry had a big heart and was generous toward everyone he met.

He worked as a machinist and took great pride in his work. Outside of work, Larry loved spending time with his puppies and enjoyed getting out on the lake to go fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Andrea. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Gretchen; daughter, Angela Steele; son, Tony Schroepfer; stepchildren, Jennifer Weiss, Erin DeSchane; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, Minnesota. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow at the Forest Lake American Legion Post #225.
