Lawrence “Larry” Swartz, age 75, of Ham Lake, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 28, 2026.
Larry was born on August 30, 1950, in West Covina, California, to Harold and Evelyn Swartz. As a young adult, and after serving in the United States Air Force, Larry moved to Minnesota, where he raised his daughters and later married his life partner, Dianne Swartz. Together, they built a home and enjoyed many happy years together.
Larry spent much of his career in the manufacturing industry, but the things that defined him were found outside of work. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family. He spent much of his free time taking leisurely rides on his Harley, often making his way to classic car shows. Larry was also a regular attendee of the Patriot Ride and the Blessing of the Bikes.
Larry will be remembered for his corny jokes, stubborn determination, and his ability to turn an ordinary afternoon into a story worth telling. He had a way of making memories out of the simple moments and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a lifetime of love, memories, hugs, smiles, and words of encouragement that will never be forgotten. Though he may no longer be here to wrap his arms around us, his love will continue to surround us every day.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Dianne Swartz, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Larry will be announced at a later date.
