Laura Lee Tveit, a devoted lover of nature and avid traveler, passed away on June 1st, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on September 20, 1948, she spent her days nurturing her flower gardens, delighting in feeding the birds, and taking leisurely walks to immerse herself in the beauty of the world around her. Her passion for exploring new places took her to distant lands like Italy and Ireland, where she marveled at the diverse cultures and landscapes.
 
Growing up in the picturesque city of San Diego, California, Laura cultivated a deep appreciation for the natural world from a young age. She instilled these values in her beloved sons, who will forever cherish the memories of her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.  

She is preceded in death by her husband Gary; son, Michael; parents, Gordon and Laverne; and brother, Larry. 

She is survived by sons, Christopher (Cheryl), Shawn (Saira); daughter-in-law, Angela; grandchildren, Alex, Natalie, Anna, Jueli, Marshall, Sarah, Sophia; brothers, Dale (Melinda), Terry (Jeri); other family members and friends.
 
A Graveside Service will be at 11 AM, on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Though she may have departed from this world, Laura's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty she cherished in life.

Note for Fort Snelling:  When entering Fort Snelling please enter through Gate #2.  This gate will lead you to the assembly areas.  We will be meeting at 10:45 AM in assembly area #6.  Our burial time is 11:00 AM.  We will stay in our vehicles in the assembly area until the cemetery attendant leads us in procession to our designated committal shelter.  Once we arrive at the committal shelter, we are given 15 minutes to conduct a committal service.  Afterwards the cemetery staff will kindly ask us to return to the vehicles.  If you would like to see Laura's gravesite you are invited back after 4 PM.
