Larry D. Sparks

Larry D. Sparks passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025.

Larry lived a full and active life, sharing his passions with family, friends, and community. He was a longtime and dedicated member of the GRRC and enjoyed coaching for the North Branch High School Trap Shooting League, where he encouraged and mentored many young shooters. A true enthusiast of classic cars, Larry spent countless hours restoring and preserving them, taking great pride in his work and sharing his love of automobiles with others.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Eva; brother, Donny; and grandson, Jacob.

Larry will be deeply missed by his wife, Margaret “Peggy”; children, Rodney, Jeffrey (Shari), Lynnette (Daniel) VanderHeiden, and Pamela; grandchildren, Joshua (Na), Courtney (Erik) Wellman, Derek (Sarah), Matthew, Maria (Logan) Wallace, Megan, Jonathon (Mallory), Caitlin, and Evan; great-grandchildren, Anna, Wyatt, Noah, and Zachary; and brother, Jerome.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 8, 2025, with visitation one hour prior, at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN. Burial at Calvary Cemetery in Forest Lake, MN.

His family and friends will remember him for his dedication, his love of the outdoors and classic cars, and most of all, his devotion to those he loved.
