Judy Nelsen

Judy Nelsen, age 75, of Forest Lake, died while at home on August 29, 2025.

Judy was born on January 18, 1950, in Wadena, Minnesota, to Edward and Delores Lam. During her childhood, she lived in St. Paul before her family eventually settled in Lindstrom. She graduated from Lindstrom High School in 1968 and, in 1970, married the love of her life, Richard Nelsen.

Judy was a talented seamstress and avid crafter, always finding joy in creating beautiful things for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her creativity, her kindness, and her deep love for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Gary and Jack Lam. She is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Ryan (Susan) and Richelle (Aaron) Blommel; beloved grandchildren, Patrick, Luke, Megan, and Jonathan; brother, Mike (Diane) Lam; sister, Julie (Leland Peltier) Erdman; along with many other family members and dear friends.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care.
