Jorja Haberman, age 56, formerly of Des Moines, passed away suddenly on Dec. 8, 2016 in Minnesota. Preceded in death by her husband, Mike. She is survived by her son, Jason (Valerie) Verdoorn; grandson, Aiden; parents, Myrna & Eddie Vares; siblings, Jennifer (Butch) Lutomski, Jimmie (Edward) Henry, Iwalani (Terry) Topetchy, James (Tiffany) Vares; nieces, Raechale (Clint) Cannon, Jennay (David) Wangen, Kiliana (Brent) Danker; nephews, Kyle Bergstresser, Kolton Topetchy; 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew. Celebration of Jorja's Life will be held, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Johnston Lions Club, 6401 Merle Hay Road, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be sent to Jason Verdoorn.
