Minot, North Dakota

Jennie Elizabeth Schell-Gremmer was born September 9, 1958 in Minot, North Dakota to Lewellyn and Frances (Wilkie) Schell.  She attended St. Leo’s Catholic Elementary School in Minot, North Dakota and graduated from South Fargo High School in Fargo, North Dakota.  Jennie attended and graduated from Humboldt Dental School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Jennie worked for Purolator Courier and Freight as a regional manager in Eagan, Minnesota for 10 years.  After her employment with Purolator, Jennie began working in the mailroom for ECM Publishing in Forest Lake, Minnesota. It was at ECM Publishing where she met David Gremmer of North Branch, Minnesota.  On September 7, 2002, Jennie married Dave Gremmer at Lord of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Forest Lake, Minnesota.

Jennie was very involved in the local community.  She loved volunteering with the Stacy Lions Club.  She served as the secretary of the Stacy Lions Club due to her organizational skills.  She especially enjoyed shopping with the kids at the Lions Club’s Treats with Santa.  Jennie also loved spending time with her family and friends.  She made several precious memories wherever she would go.  She also loved spending time with her children and babysitting her nieces & nephews.  They especially enjoyed staying with auntie Jennie due to her breakfast of champions: Ice cream, cookies, candy and popcorn.  Everyone who knew Jennie knew about her knowledge and love of music and movies.  She considered herself a mentor to educate others in these areas.  Jennie will always be remembered as the STAR of our family.

Jennie was preceded in death by her Father Lewellyn Schell, Stepmother Sharon Schell, Brother Myron Schell, Brother-in-law James Peach and Godmother Claudia Willets.

Jennie is survived by her Husband David Gremmer (Forest Lake, MN); Son: Corey Gates-Schell (Stacy, MN); Stepsons: Jeramie Martinez (Minneapolis, MN), Justin (Sara) Martinez (Pueblo, CO); Grandchildren: Ann Capco-Martinez, Kayliaua Raasch-Martinez, Isaac Martinez, Gregory Martinez Ryder Martinez; Parents: Les and Frances (Cookie) Zitzow (Stacy, MN); Siblings: Cynthia Peach (Bismarck, ND), Juanita (David) Hinrichsen (Wyoming, MN), Leslie (John) Bettcher (Lino Lakes, MN), Denita (Kelly) Roth (Lincoln, ND), Fred Schell (Stacy, MN), Scott Zitzow (Stacy, MN), Terry (Jessica) Zitzow (North Branch, MN) and Dianne Schell (Underwood, ND).  She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and many many friends.

“May the road rise up to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields,

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
