Janice Kathrine Nickelson, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and homemaker, passed away on November 21, 2023, at the age of 84. Born on January 16, 1939, in Lindstrom, Minnesota, Janice was the cherished daughter of Albin and Mabel Carlson.
Janice was educated at Chisago Lindstrom High School and, after graduation, dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving home for her family. Her passion for homemaking knew no bounds, as she poured her heart and soul into every aspect of her family's life. Her devotion to her husband, Wayne Nickelson, was unwavering and their union was a testament to the power of love and commitment. Janice and Wayne were united in marriage on August 11, 1962 at Elim Lutheran Church, Scandia, Minnesota.
Janice found great joy in embracing the simple pleasures of life. She took pride in her ability to create mouthwatering dishes, with her hot dish reigning as a family favorite. Her creative spirit extended beyond the kitchen, as she delighted in the art of holiday decorating and tending to her beautiful garden. Janice's love and care radiated throughout their home, providing solace and comfort to all who entered.
Janice will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Wayne Nickelson, who has been her constant companion and pillar of strength throughout their 61 years of marriage. Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving family and friends.
She is also survived by her siblings, David Carlson, Delores Hall; nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Earl Carlson, Lawrence Carlson, Irene Holcomb, Vernette Vandesteeg, Betty Anderson.
