Jacqualyn M. LaBathe  ( Nee Jacobsen)

Builder of family dreams. Beloved Wife, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Great Great Grandma, Aunt.  Age 87, of Chisago City formerly of St. Paul, California, and Arizona. Passed peacefully at home on January 27th, surrounded by family; Preceded in death by loving husband Willard; Grandson Troy LaBathe; a sister and eight brothers. The very last member of the Anna and Charles Jacobsen clan. Survived by children Larry (Angie Weidell-LaBathe) of Chisago City, MN and Tom (Karla) of Hemet, CA; Granddaughters Tammy Olson (Dean), Tina Kuhlemeier (Jim Tomczyk), and Heather LaBathe; Six great grandchildren; Two great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Fiercely independent to the end, Jackie motored away on her Indian as a teenager onto an incredible and fulfilling life. 52 years of partnership with husband Willie was a whirlwind unmatched by many. Fostering family, early military life, trailering with the Traveling Saints camping club, relentless square dancing, and golfing. Eventually relocating from Minnesota to California and Arizona, Jackie returned to spend her final years encircled by those she cherished.  There is a void in our lives that will always remain. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Lord of the Lakes Lutheran Church, 25402 Itasca Avenue, Forest Lake.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Donations, in lieu of flowers, to Can Do Canines “Name a Puppy” Program in Jackie’s name.
