Hedwig “Hattie” Belz Sorensen, age 98, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.  Hattie dedicated her life to community service; Forest Lake High School, Senior Center, St. John’s Church, Fairview Lakes Hospital and Community Helping Hand.  Hattie was an avid reader, she also enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, the outdoors, fishing, feeding the birds and attending sporting events for her children and grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Sr.; and siblings.  She is survived by her children, Susan (Paul) Hubbard, George (Darbi); grandchildren, Corey (Katie), Nathan; great grandson, Taylor; brother, John (Linda) Belz.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 12, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 31075 Genesis Avenue, Stacy, Minnesota.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. For those who cannot attend, “live streaming” will be available.  Interment at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Wyoming, Minnesota.  To ensure the safety and health of all in attendance, we will be following the guidelines of Executive Order 20-62.  Please call for additional information if needed.
