Gordon Hovde MD

Gordon Hovde M.D. of Forest Lake, 91 years old, formerly of Minneapolis, Albert Lea, and Chisago City, died peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Birchwood Health Care Center in Forest Lake, MN. He was a physician in the Chisago Lakes area for 28 years. He took a two-year fellowship at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and practiced for 8 more years in Albert Lea, MN. 

 Gordon is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Rosemary Workman Hovde, and his sister Shirley Hovde. He is survived by his children, Patrick, Paul(Lisa), Katie, Lisa (Dennis), Christopher, Charles (Lisa), Rosanna (David), and Terri; his sister Betty Cooley, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3-5 PM, on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Mattson’s Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.
