Gordon E. Hicks Sr., born September 24, 1940 in the Township of Verona, Minnesota, died in his Ramsey, Minnesota home, surrounded by his friends and family on Friday, July 17, 2015. Gordon was preceded in death by father, Charles Hicks; mother and step-father, Florence and Harold Nelson; son, Gordon Hicks Jr.; son-in-law, Troy Jensen; grandson, Nathan Jensen; siblings, Joan (Floyd "Jake") Jacobson, Lloyd (Betty) Hicks, Larry Hicks; brothers-in-law, Walter Clausen, James Schermerhorn. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Hicks; children, Terri (Mark) Mevissen, Vincent Hicks, Kathy Hicks, Matthew (Carol) Hicks, David (Gaddie) Webster, Melissa (Bill Rada) Hicks, Aimee (Dan) Vyskocil, Trisha (Ray) Cochenour; daughter-in-law, Kris Hicks; siblings, Cecil (Terry) Hicks, Darrell (Darlene) Hicks, Jerry (Lorraine) Hicks, Kerry (Kim) Hicks, Irvin "Sonny" (Shirley) Hicks, Neva Schermerhorn, June Clausen, Janet (Roy) Miller; sister-in-law, Janice Hicks; numerous beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and fellow contractors. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the service at the funeral home.
