George A. Sheldon

George A. Sheldon, age 85, of Forest Lake, MN, passed away at home surrounded by loving family on March 26, 2024.  

Born on April 12, 1938, George lived a life dedicated to service, both in the military and as a dedicated employee of Metro Transit for over 30 years.

As a proud US Army veteran who served his country overseas, George exemplified honor and bravery in all aspects of his life. His commitment extended to his role as a driver, where his reliability and kindness touched the lives of countless passengers over the years.

Beyond his professional endeavors, George found joy and camaraderie in his passion for motorcycles, a shared interest he cherished as a member of the Road Saints M/C. When he wasn't on the open road, George could often be found on the golf course, reveling in the tranquility of the game he loved.

He is survived by wife, Margaret; children, Kristi, Eugene (Tammy), George (Dana); grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael (Elizabeth), Matilda, Mary, Manteneh; and 4 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Visitation one hour prior to mass at the church.  Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
