Frank Langer

Frank Langer, age 75 of Scandia, MN passed away at home on April 30, 2018.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Frank was the local assessor for multiple cities in Washington County, some for over 40 years. He valued the many long term relationships he developed over time, working with the local communities.

Frank liked nothing better than to spend time with his friends and family, enjoying good food and laughter.  He was an avid pilot who owned his own plane in Osceola, WI for many years.  He also enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, boating, traveling with his friends and family and trips to Las Vegas with his buddies.

Frank was always available for a word of advice, a helping hand, a good story, a laugh when needed and the ability to put life’s struggles into perspective. While we will all miss the great man that Frank was, we will remember that he truly lived each moment that he was with us.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Anne Winn.  Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Michele, and their children, Nick (Lidia), Kathleen (Dan) Pohlen, Kristin (Chris) Beckwith, Jason and James; seven grandchildren; Robert Pohlen, Samantha Pohlen, Dylan Langer, Zach and Roman Langer, Nicky Langer, Christina Langer, Barrett Beckwith; brother, Gerard; many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  The family will greet friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior on Saturday at the Church.  Interment at Elim Lutheran Cemetery.
