Emil "Buster" Baufield

Emil “Buster” F. Baufield, age 91, of Centerville, MN, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by family on August 22, 2022.

Emil was born in Elk River and grew up there.  He attended NDSU and continued to go on and get his master’s in physical education.  Emil spent many years teaching and coached for over 50 years.  He enjoyed fishing in the outdoors as well as traveling on cruses.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Marie; son, Michael; stepdaughter, Lori; and brother, Leonard.

He is survived by wife, Lois; daughters, Elizabeth (Mike) Harper, Sue Dillon, JoEllen (Brad) Johnson, Rosemary; stepdaughters, Deb Motschenbacher, Sheila Zepeda; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN.  The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Private Burial at Ft. Snelling, Minneapolis, MN.
