Elizabeth Diane Maser, known to many as Liz, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, died peacefully and joined the Lord on September 12, 2025 at 86 years old.
Liz was a woman of unwavering faith who devoted her life to God, her family and church community. She and her late husband of 61 years, Robert L. Maser (d. 2020), raised six daughters, Jean (Bill) Danforth, Stephanie (Alan) Schifsky, Andrea Maser, Elizabeth (Michael) Wolf, Jessica (Michael) Stultz, and Sarah (Daniel) Yurick, instilling in them the values of love, faith, and perseverance. She valued caring for her family above all, and later in life devoted herself to supporting deaf children in the public school system, working closely with parents to nurture their education and growth.
Born to Dorothy Joy and Patrick D. McNeill, Liz carried forward their legacy of faith and love. A proud grandmother of 33 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren and many in heaven, Liz treasured her family deeply. She also found joy in quiet moments with scripture, and reading a wide variety of Christian books and magazines. Prayer was her constant source of strength and comfort throughout her life. In addition to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Liz is survived by her siblings, Derry (Mary) McNeill; Jean MacNeill.
Liz will be remembered for her faith-filled life, her devotion to family and her loving heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; granddaughter, Olivia Yurick; grandson, Vaughn Wolf; great grandson, Jack Friesen; siblings, Margaret MacNeill, Patrick McNeill.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends one hour prior to mass at the church. A luncheon will immediately follow mass. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake, Minnesota.
