Edward James Spanovich

Edward James Spanovich, age 87, passed away on November 14, 2025, in Fridley, Minnesota, peacefully in his sleep.

He was born in West St. Paul, Minnesota, and served in the United States Air Force after graduating from high school. Edward married Patricia Gunderson, and the two shared 58 wonderful years together until her passing in 2018. Ed retired from Tisco after 33 years of dedicated service. Following retirement, Ed and Pat moved to their lake home in East Bethel, Minnesota, where they enjoyed their years together.

He is survived by sons, George (Brenda), Tom (Dorothy); granddaughter, Ashley (David); sisters-in-law, Barbara Ellinger, Mary Lou Kohler; niece, Susan; nephew, James.

A Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN.  Interment at 10 AM, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
