“I’m the one that’s got to die when it’s time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to.”

 ―Jimi Hendrix

Dustin was a typical Leo: strong, confident, ambitious, loyal, fiercely proud, and protective of those he loved and cared about, incredibly generous, and big-hearted. Dustin enjoyed quality time with close friends and family; likely indulging in and zoning out to his favorites of the moment or of all time, fishing, or getting in a solid round of disc golf. He showered anyone he cared about with the most perfect memes or videos to represent a special moment, and always with the most eclectic and thoughtful gift he could find for a special occasion or to remind him and the recipient of a moment to be treasured forever. And much like his father, he was universally talented; there was little that he could not do or fix - if he wanted to. It's hard not to chortle a little when you think about that quirky Dustpan; unafraid to slap those he cared about with cold-hard truths, facts, and knowledge he had, which never failed to incite deeper conversations or arguments. Dust could dazzle the pants off anyone who listened when he recalled his fondest relatable memories; often soliciting and offering alternative perspectives on a mixture of topics...  productivity of said conversation is all relative.

Dustin is survived by his mother, Brenda; siblings Nicole and Jeremy (Steph); nieces and nephew; Greta, Peyton, and Vincent; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends and comrades from all walks of life. Preceded in death by his father, Paul; grandparents Bud and Joanne Manderscheid; Richard and Katy Bartelt; cousin, Alec and a few close friends.

The family will have a private memorial service. A celebration of life is planned for spring 2023.

In lieu of flowers, all financial contributions will help to cover funeral cost.

Dust buster, my little Eddie monster you will be missed I love you,

Mom!
