Donald Wujcik

Wujcik, Donald J., age 77, of Forest Lake died November. 27, 2002 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born June 5, 1925 to Stanley & Josephine (Ciasto) Wujcik, Served in the US Navy during WW II, married Edna Jylha in 1949. A graduate of the University of MN, worked for State of MN retiring in 1985 as Vice Chancellor of the Community College System of MN. After retiring Donald became involved in many community organizations including; The Friends of the Forest Lake Library, Washington County Library Board & The Clear Lake Association. Preceded in death by his wife Edna Virginia; 2 sisters Loretta Raycraft & Marie T. Wujcik & 2 brothers, Stanley Wujcik, Jr. & Henry C. Wujcik. Lovingly survived by his children, Becky Wujcik, Suzanne (Charles) Nichols & William Wujcik; 2 grandchildren, Andrea & Andrew Nichols; brother-in-law William Jylha; aunt Michelina ''Minnie'' Erkkila; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services Wed. 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 1250 S. Shore Dr., Forest Lake, MN. Visitation Tues. 5-8 PM at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 N. Shore Dr., Forest Lake with American Legion service @ 6:45 PM followed by a prayer service at 7PM. Burial in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
