Donald "Lee" Jensen

Donald “Lee” Jensen, age 77, of East Bethel, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2022. 

From watching the Super Bowl in a hot tub in Mexico to planting and tending and photographing flowers in his garden, Lee enjoyed a wide variety of interests.  He had a passion for almost all sports, both as a participant and as a spectator.  His favorites were volleyball, baseball, golf, fishing, and hockey.  Lee also loved traveling with his wife, Sue.  Together, they spent many years wintering at The Villages in Florida, and made frequent trips to Mexico.  Other adventures included a Panamanian cruise and extended driving trips.  Probably Lee’s favorite travel destination was New Zealand.  But home was where his heart truly was.  Lee greatly enjoyed living on the lake where he loved spending time on the pontoon reading the latest thriller and suspense novels.  Of course, fishing and boating were also important, but nothing could beat the view of the channel from the sun porch.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Florence.  Survived by wife, Sue; sister, JoAnn (Lyle) Besse; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM, on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, Minnesota.  Family will be greeting friends from 1-3 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.  Private family interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
