Deanna "Dee" Jean (nee Day) Farrell

Age 84, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025.

Deanna, known as "Dee" to those who loved her, was a kind-hearted and joyful soul who touched many lives throughout her 84 years. She had a special fondness for playing bingo, and it was through her engaging personality that she found lasting friendships. Her career as a cashier and in various businesses reflected her love for interacting with others.

In her free time, Dee enjoyed the simplicity of life: working on puzzles, staying connected with friends and family through Facebook, and embracing nature. She took great pleasure in the company of animals, especially cats and dogs, and would often spend hours watching birds outside her window.

Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Harriet Day; her son, Larry Farrell; and stepson, Warren Farrell. She is survived by her children, Lanny (Kathi) Farrell, Tristy (Randy) Engholm, Terry Farrell, David (Lisa) Schake, and Darin (Cindy) Schake; her stepchildren; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the compassionate team at Accent Hospice for their care and support during Dee’s final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society or a charity of your choice, as Dee had a great love for animals.

A Celebration of Deanna's Life will be held at a later date.
