Dayle Charles Klister

Dayle Charles Klister of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, at the age of 87. Born in Scanlon, Minnesota, Dayle was raised on his family's farm and at the age of 18 joined the United States Air Force.

He loved playing his music and playing his guitar and harmonica. Dayle also enjoyed fishing, bowling, wood working, and time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Marlene, his daughter Cheryl Tiessen, his mother Ingrid Halvorson, his father Charles Klister and sister Karen Helstrom.

He is survived by his brother, Duane Klister, sister Susan Eubanks, daughter Debbie Patterson, daughter Brenda Widell, son Robert Klister. Grandchildren David Tiessen Jr, Sarah Tiessen, Amber Slagle, Steve Tiessen, Krystyna Olson, Cassandra Widell, Tim Tiessen, Amanda Widell, Karissa Tiessen, Ashley Widell and Michael Klister. Step daughter Karen Thorell, step daughter Pamela Stroh and stepson Kevin Stroh. Step grandchildren Tana Stroh, Shane Stroh and Shelley Stroh.

Dayle will be laid to rest with military honors at Apostolic Cemetery in Esko, Mn.
